Batter of the Month award winners announced
The American League's best player of the month was 
Detroit's <a href=p2443.html>Richard Bernabe</a>, who 
wins the award for the 2nd time in his career. Richard 
was on fire, hitting .379 with 13 homeruns and 36 RBI. 
His season features a batting average of .335 (92 hits 
in 275 AB), 12 doubles, one triple and 26 homeruns. 
Bernabe collected 79 RBI and 57 runs as well. He's 
2nd in the American League in RBIs and 2nd in homeruns! 
The National League's best player of the month was 
Florida's <a href=p998.html>Luis Ramirez</a>, who wins 
the award for the 2nd time in his career. Ramirez helped 
his team with an average of .344 and 33 RBI in 96 at 
bats. He has hit 29 bombs while batting .339 this season. 
His 103 hits and 20 walks add up to a .380 on-base 
percentage. He's 1st in the National League in RBIs 
and 1st in homeruns!
